Chapter – 7 coordinate geometry

Complete Chapter Course on Coordinate Geometry!

Coordinate geometry is, basically, a system, which deals with the positions of points on the plane using an ordered pair of numbers.

ScoreXTM helps you comprehend the concept behind the NCERT coordinate geometry.

What is covered in this course?

In the course, we explain all the topics that are relevant to the chapter including the NCERT solutions Class 10 Chapter 7 coordination geometry to make the learning much efficient.

Coordinate Plane

A 2-d figure or a plane on which the coordinates x and y are located. It has two scales called the x – axis and y – axis at right angle to each other.

X-axis - This refers to horizontal line, and they are both positive and negative in left to right direction.

Y-axis - The vertical scale is called the y axis and they are also both positive and negative in up and down direction.

Origin - It refers to the point where both the axis meets. And it is the point of measurement that means all the measure through axis is done by this point.

Quadrants - The four areas which are divided by the plane are called quadrants.

Uses of coordinate geometry in our day to day life:-

·         In locating places/ geography

    ·     In movie theaters

    ·     In various graphs

You will learn to find the distance between 2 points, and also, the area of triangle formed by the 3 points whose coordinates are given.
