An arithmetic progression or arithmetic sequence is a series of numbers in which the specific relation between the consecutive terms is constant, for example 2, 4, 6,8,10. The general form is a, a+d, a+2d……a+ (n-1) d and here ‘a’ refers to the first term and ‘d’ refers to a common difference. Each digit in the series is called a term.
